Can I pay by credit card?

How can I make a reservation?

A

There are three available methods:
1.Through a travel agency, such as JTB or Kinki Nippon Tourist.
If you prefer that the accommodation charges remain confidential from the staying guest, please inform us in advance.

2.Via online booking platforms that support advance card payment.
Currently, advance-payment-enabled sites for “Enka no Mori” include our official website, Ikyu.com, Rakuten Travel, Relux, Jalan.net, and Expedia.

We regret that all payments must be made in advance. Thank you for your understanding.

Can pregnant guests use the hot springs?

A

Our hot springs are alkaline and gentle on the skin, with very low irritation. There have been no reported issues for pregnant guests; however, for safety and peace of mind, we recommend consulting with your physician before bathing.

Do you provide accommodations for children?

A

For guests with children, we accept reservations only for rooms on the second floor. Information regarding meals for children is available on our website’s dedicated children’s page for your reference

Can infants stay at the inn?

A

Yes, they are welcome.
Please note that a facility fee of 3,300 yen per child applies for infants and children up to pre-school age. Meals and bedding are not provided for this age group.

Can infants use the hot springs?

A

Our hot springs are alkaline and gentle, with very low irritation. No issues have been reported for infants; however, for safety, we recommend consulting your physician. Infants are permitted in the large bath at parental discretion. Please note that the water temperature in the large bath is around 41°C (slightly hot), so caution is advised. Guest rooms with open-air baths are recommended for bathing with infants, as the water temperature can be adjusted easily with additional hot or cold water.

Can you provide baby food?

A

We are sorry, but we do not provide baby food. Please prepare it yourself. Bringing baby food to meals incurs no additional charge. If heating in a microwave is required, please feel free to ask our staff.

Can infants who are not yet potty-trained use the large bath?

A

There is no rule prohibiting infants in diapers from using the large bath; it is left to parental discretion. Please note that the large baths do not have diaper-changing facilities. For bathing small infants, we recommend using the guest room’s open-air bath. These baths also use hot spring water, and the temperature can be easily adjusted with additional water, allowing you to bathe comfortably with your baby without concern for other guests.

Do you offer wheelchairs for rent?

Yes, we have one wheelchair available. Please inform us in advance if you wish to use it.
Please note that the wheelchair may only be used within the premises of the ryokan.

Do you have rooms with beds for guests who have difficulty with traditional flooring?

All of our guest rooms are Japanese–Western style and equipped with beds. Each room features two beds for your comfort.

A member of our group uses an oxygen inhalation device. Can a designated provider deliver the equipment in advance?

Yes, this is possible. Please contact us ahead of time so we can coordinate the arrangements.

Do you provide a shuttle service from Gora Station?

A

Yes, we offer complimentary shuttle service to and from Gora Station and Sōunzan Station. Upon arrival at either station, please give us a call, and we will pick you up within approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Please note that there may be a short wait during peak times when other guests are also requesting pick-up. For departures, we provide transportation to both stations in the order of check-out. You may also be asked to wait during busy periods. We appreciate your understanding.

Is parking available? Is it free or paid?

Yes, we offer complimentary parking in front of the entrance, with space for up to 11 vehicles. If you plan to come by car, we kindly ask that you contact us in advance.

Is it safe to drive during winter? Will there be snow or icy roads?

A

Road conditions depend on the weather, but from December to March, there may be icy surfaces. We strongly recommend equipping your vehicle with winter tires or tire chains.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 3:00 p.m., and check-out is at 11:00 a.m.

Is it possible to check in before 3:00 p.m.?

A

We regret that we are unable to offer check-in prior to 3:00 p.m. However, you are welcome to relax in the lobby while you wait, and we can also store your luggage for you. Please contact us in advance or speak with our front desk upon arrival. We may also be able to accept your car from 12:00 p.m. onward; kindly consult us by phone beforehand.

Can I extend the check-out time for an additional fee?

We sincerely apologize, but we are unable to offer any extensions to the check-out time. We appreciate your understanding.

What is the latest possible check-in time?

A

Our latest check-in time is 6:00 p.m. Please note that if you arrive after 6:00 p.m., we may be unable to prepare your dinner. We kindly ask that you contact us in advance should you expect to arrive later.

Can I see the fireworks of the Gora Daimonji-yaki (on August 16th) from my room?

A

Most of our guest rooms do not have a view of the fireworks. However, you can see about 60% of the display from the private open-air terraces of the following rooms:
Suites: Ten-nin-so (201), Sumire (205), No-shun-kiku (301), and Kusa-botan (305)
Standard Rooms: No-azami (202), Fujibakama (203), Hana-ikada (302), and Ai (303)

Can I request a non-smoking room?

All our rooms are non-smoking.
If you wish to smoke, please use the designated smoking area "Irori" located in the first-floor lobby.

Would you like a room with a scenic view?

A

Rooms with views of the Hakone mountain range include Suite Rooms: Tenjinso 201, Sumire 205, Noshunkiku 301, Kusabotan 305; and Standard Rooms: Noazami 202, Fujibakama 203, Hanaikada 302, Ai 303.

May I bring my own drinks?

A

As a general rule, we kindly ask guests not to bring beverages into guest rooms or during meals. However, if you wish to bring a special wine or a brand that we cannot provide, we can accommodate this for a handling fee. Please contact us in advance if you plan to do so.
This does not apply to special circumstances, such as bringing meals for infants. Please feel free to consult us in such cases.

How many towels, amenities, and yukata are provided in the room?

In line with our environmental initiatives, we prepare the number of towels, amenities, and yukata according to the number of guests in the room. If you require additional items, please do not hesitate to contact the front desk or our staff.

We have private banquet rooms available for such occasions. If you reserve two or more guest rooms and the total number of guests is five or more, your meals will automatically be served in a private dining room.

For a 60th birthday celebration (Kanreki), are traditional “Chanchanko” robes available for use?

The necessary ID and password are provided in your room information, and both connection and usage are free of charge.
•There is no wired LAN; all connections are wireless (Wi-Fi).
•When multiple guests use the network simultaneously, the speed may decrease. Thank you for your understanding.
•Please refrain from large downloads or activities that may inconvenience other guests.
•All use is at the guest’s own responsibility.
