We are delighted to introduce Suien, a new overnight stay plan that includes dinner at Kappo Mugen, a Japanese counter-style restaurant featuring a hydrogen stove.

Savor exquisite ingredients sourced from across Japan at Madoka no Mori's counter-style restaurant, "Kappo Mugen", where our executive chef prepares each dish right before your eyes.*

*This is a Chef’s Omakase Dining Experience, thoughtfully curated with seasonal ingredients. Kindly note that we are unable to accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, or special food preferences for this plan.

Important Information for Solo Travelers
Our ryokan requires a minimum stay for 2 guests. Single travelers are welcome; however, the rate for 2 guests will apply.

The course showcases carefully selected ingredients sourced from across Japan. Highlights include Omi beef from Sakaeya, a renowned butcher shop in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture, highly regarded by food connoisseurs; seasonal vegetables from Uruoi Shunsatsu Akutoyo in Iwate Prefecture, which cultivates approximately 80 varieties of vegetables with meticulous attention to soil preparation; and Kamo eggplant from Kawakita Farm, a trusted supplier of premium rice and vegetables to Kyoto and other prestigious establishments nationwide.

These exceptional ingredients, delivered fresh from the producers, are skillfully prepared by our executive chef right before your eyes and served at their peak of flavor.

What truly enhances the flavors of these carefully selected ingredients is the hydrogen stove featured at the counter. Known for its ability to steam food at high temperatures, the hydrogen stove ensures that the inside of each dish remains moist and juicy, maximizing its flavor. Additionally, as hydrogen is odorless, the natural aroma of the ingredients shines through, offering a truly exceptional dining experience.

The simple, healthy, and truly rich flavors of a Japanese breakfast are a luxury best enjoyed in Hakone, a region known for its treasure trove of exceptional ingredients.
Rice cooked in a kettle, warm miso soup, and a variety of main and side dishes will create a fulfilling start to your morning. This breakfast is a true gem, crafted with the chef’s heart and soul.
